A Pair of Suspects Charged with Jail Killing of Ex-Lostprophets Vocalist Ian Watkins

Two individuals now face murder charges in the wake of the jailhouse death of former Lostprophets singer and convicted child sex offender Ian Watkins.

The two men, Rashid Gedel (25) and Samuel Dodsworth (43) now face murder accusations and are scheduled to appear in Leeds magistrates’ court on Monday morning, per police authorities.

Watkins, forty-eight, was serving a 29-year sentence at HMP Wakefield, plus an additional six years on license, after admitting a string of sex offences among them the tried rape of a very young child.

Watkins was arrested after the execution of a narcotics search warrant at his Pontypridd home on 21 September 2012, when a significant quantity of computers, mobile phones and data storage units were taken as evidence.
