Aircraft Spins Wildly into Palm Trees at Frequented Southern California Beach
A helicopter flying over a popular coastal beach abruptly began spiraling out of control, finally losing altitude and crashing into a row of palm groves as spectators observed.
Footage shared on social media depict the chopper starting to spin over the beach then falling near the edge of the coast, where it becomes wedged among palm trees and a set of stairs adjacent to the shoreline route.
First Aid Information
Local firefighters stated five persons were rushed to the hospital comprising a pair who were in the chopper and were “rescued from the debris” after the crash on Saturday.
Three persons on the street were harmed. Details on their condition were not yet released.
The reason for the accident was not yet disclosed.
